$10 Girly T-Shirts!

I love dressing up casual tees with dressy accessories and heels, and I also love wearing tees with jeans and flip-flops! Well, for all of you out there who are seeking some affordable tops that will add some fun to your summer wardrobe, check out Ten Bills.

Tell me these aren't adorably creative. There are also some for your guys (need to buy presents anyone?). The tees are 100% cotton, which is great when it comes to "breathing" and avoiding persistent sweating. And this is totally important when the sun beats down. (Be sure to use their sizing charts, however, because it is said that a little shrinking could happen.)

Tell 'em Elana of Good Girl Gone Shopping you! You can follow their updates on Facebook, Twitter, and Myspace. I know I am!

Ripped Jeans a Ridiculous Trend?

A little ripped and worn in is cute...but there IS such a thing as over-doing a sorta silly trend. Should I adopt this trend myself, or have a client who is dying for a pair, I suggest buying a pair of thrift-store jeans and do it yourself for $5. Don't pay $100 for denim that is too trendy. That's my professional opinion folks! Vote on my poll. Your feedback counts!

A Do-Over Contest! Win "City Chic: The Modern Girl's Guide to Living Large on Less" by Nina Willdorf

A couple of months ago, I held a contest where you could enter to win a copy of Nina Willdorf's fabulous book, City Chic: The Modern Girl's Guide to Living Large on Less.

The way you could originally win was by responding to me on Twitter. Now, my mistake is that I assumed everyone "tweeted." But in all honesty, you don't. And that's your perogative. Many of you are more myspace and Facebook fanatics. So, I am holding the contest again. This time, the only way you can enter is to respond to this post, right on Good Girl Gone Shopping. For those who DID enter, thank you for being so fabulous. But now you have another chance!

Sooooo...here is how you can enter: Comment on this post and tell me about a fashion piece in your closet that you desperately need help with stylizing (before you return the item!). I will choose the winner based in the most clueless person. This isn't an insult -- we all need help now and again. Me too!

As an Inland Empire and Los Angeles personal shopper, I will provide my tips on what to pair it up with, how to flaunt it confidently, and just how you can make it your own. The winner will also be featured in my photo gallery along with a pic of her item.

As for what City Chic has in store for you, check out the original contest post that discussed the chapters in the book! I am still reading the book, and have officially fallen in love. I know that you will love it too.

Contest ends: July 17th, on Friday, by 5 p.m. pac time.

What Do You Hope to Fit Into for the Summer?

I take kickboxing (which, I know, I talk about all the time), Pilates, and spinning. And soon, I hope to be able to wear this while shopping and at the beach. It's just so dang "Three's a Company" cheesiness-cutesy.

This particular jumper is sold at (and photo from) ShopManhattanite.com. This is by Tart -- the "Cleo Jumper in Crete." On sale for only $40.80, marked down from $136! The color is beautiful, and would look great on its own or with a cute cardigan for chilly, summer evenings...

What piece are you saving up for? Or, strive to fit into?

Win a "French Tip Dip" Manicure Set on 'Join the Gossip'

Leeann of Join the Gossip is always so innovative and right on! She is currently having a contest where you can win a "French Tip Dip" manicure set. All you have to do is comment on her post. AND if you do a write-up on your own blog, you get counted for two entries. So that's what I'm doing!

A little background on Leeann: she is a CSUF journalism grad (we are both Titans!), is a former Beauty Chat and PlasticSurgery.com writer (I hired her about two years ago), a traveler (she is always going on some kind of vacation to clear her mind!), she recently got her own LA pad (around the corner from Kat Von D's tattoo shop), and pours her fashion and beauty heart out in Join the Gossip. Oh yes, and she would give an arm and a leg to spend an evening chatting with 311. She is their #1 fan.

Sooooo...you gotta enter! I love this chick. Plus, she shows you a YouTube video about the application steps. Cool, right?

The September Issue: Anna Wintour Film

I can't wait! I better finish the unauthorized bio of Anna Wintour, called "Front Row," before I see this. I wanna get the juice first. A fashion blogger, writer, and editor who strives for ultimate success in the magazine world, Anna Wintour is one of my biggest influences. Her signature bob, big shades, and being supposedly represented as "Miranda" in The Devil Wears Prada. She has the "It" factor. Wow.

Thanks Clutch 22 for sharing the video! I got the idea about posting this video from you, my fellow Manhattanite blogger.

Pair Your Booties Up With a Flavorful, Summer Dress!

As the Good Girl Gone Shopping contributor for Manhattanite Blog (Thanks Jeanette!), my first post was about one of my favorite styles to flaunt: My black BCBGirls booties and flavorful summer dresses. Why can't you pair up both, even in the hottest of the hottest weather? My previous post shows me wearing a yellow Forever 21 floral dress, black leggings, and my black booties to the Project Ethos fashion event at Vanguard in Los Angeles. Call it funky or call it a contradiction, but at the very least, you can call it fun!

So check out my newest Manhattanite article. I hope you find some inspiration regarding your own wardrobe. Remember, what you wear should be based on YOU. Take a trend and make it your own! That's the philosophy I would encourage everyone to live by.

P.S. Manhattanite Blog derives from the ShopManhattanite.com website, where you can shop 'til you drop at amazing sale prices!
