Kourtney Kardashian's "Prego" Fashion Sense

Just like tons of you out there, I watch "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" on E! Entertainment. Besides their catty sibling rivalry feuds, I love their styles. Even Kris, their mother, understands glam fashion.

I recently purchased a Forever 21 men's blazer after seeing how well Kim wears this piece, adore how how Khloe rocks the billowy, off-the-shoulder blouses, and most recently, I am loving 30-year old Kourtney's "prego" fashion. (She's already had the baby, fyi.)

Kourtney is showing us that being pregnant doesn't have to be covered up with cargo pants and a white button-down shirt -- a common set that I've noticed many women wear during their second or third trimester. Of course, comfort is most appropriate, but I enjoy seeing a woman who still exudes sexiness and style.

She is pictured wearing form-fitting, mini-dresses, leggings, and over-the-knee boots. Whether you find some of her outfits inappropriate, you must admit that her style definitely turns heads and makes a statement. Confidence is key to making style work, and Kourtney proves that she knows a thing or two about this.

Mothers and mommies-to-be, what are your thoughts about her prego fashion?

(...And Kourtney will not need a cash advance to look awesome while sporting her baby bump!)

The Princess and the Frog

Tiana is here and she's fabulous! I am going to watch "The Princess and the Frog" (based on E.D. Baker's novel, "The Frog Princess") today with my mom, sister, and 3-year old niece. I can't wait! I'm not a big fan of animated movies. However, this is groundbreaking...the idea that a princess can come in all colors makes me happy. Diversity on the big screen is beautiful.

'Launch My Line' with Galina Sobolev

If you are a fan of Project Runway, you'll definitely find some interest in Bravo's new Reality TV show, Launch My Line. It's a show about diverse professionals in a competition who want to launch their own fashion line. It's fun to see such these professionals, such as a choreographer, event planner, DJ, and music executive, develop fashion ideas. But they don't do it alone! They each are paired up with a designer to help them ride out their visions.

One special designer to take notice of -- Galina Sobolev. This kind-hearted designer's line, Single, is so chic and feminine...

Back up four years, and I actually attended one of her shows during LA Fashion Week at Smashbox. I will never forget sorta pushing my way through the other reporters on the runway to get a few quotes from her. She stood her ground and gave me five minutes (I was covering the show for Agenda Magazine). I will never forget that. So to now see her on the show is such a delight. Honestly, her collection rocks.

So enjoy! Launch My Line is on Bravo on Wednesdays, 11/10 c. Feel free to comment and let me know what you think of it! (As well, as who is your favorite...)

I Used to Think They Were for Hookers!

I'm talking about over-the-knee boots. I never would have thought that this style would be all the rage these days. I personally stick to my comfort level of booties and boots that rise just below the knees.

I wonder how comfortable this new style is! Can you bend your knees still? Do they cut off your circulation? If you have a pair, let me know how these hold up. Pun intended. Of course, I wouldn't think that you're a hooker of any sorts, but this type of boot is flashy and over the top - you have to admit.

These celebs do rock this look though! I just don't know if I would recommend this style to my clients, based on their comfort level. Many of them are entering the world of fashion and still finding their way...Then again, I may discover that the confident could pull this off! We will see...

Do you like this trend?

And the Winner Is....

GradSchoolMommy!

Thank you to all who entered the Perricone Md Advanced Eye Area Therapy contest. GradSchoolMommy posted an interesting comment regarding her experience with skin care treatments. Due to her interest in Perricone MD and her disappointment with other products, I decided that I'd love to treat this grad student and mom.

To win, I asked readers to leave their thoughts on the importance of good skincare and mention of lines that didn't work for them previously. Here was GradSchoolMommy's comment:

"I really do consider skin care an investment and have spent a pretty penny on different lines over the years. I try not to cobble together my skin care regime, as I do believe that you have to use complimentary products to get the best from a line. I've tried everything from La Mer to Lancome, but they didn't resonate with me past a year or so. The brand I have found the most success with is Clarins. However, I've heard rave reviews about Perricone MD products -- and I'm overdue to give their line a shot. I'd love to try this Eye Area Therapy out and see how it works! Although I'm a grad student, I'm also a mom and 40 years old... so I could really use all the help I can get. :) Thanks for a great opportunity to give this line a try."

More contests to come! Thanks again.

"Peace, love, and cute shoes!"
