How Bright is Toooooo Bright on the Bottom?

As I lose weight, I am envisioninng new styles to sport other than shades of blue denim jeans. As someone with hips and a "big butt" (while getting firmer by the minute!), I know that I have to be quite delicate in what I pair up with a colored denim pant. Hence: a longer, loose blouse with a vest or cute jacket is probably the safest and most flattering for my shape. While I love the hot pink, I will probably start off with the blue/purple-ish pair to the very left. Just as I recommend to friends and clients that it will be more comfortable for them to try new trends if they comfortably transition into it...
Think the Good Girl should steer clear from going too bright?

I love those red and yellow ones. Those blue ones are neat, too! As a girl who has has hips and a big butt, I'm a little effy about these color jeans. But I think their great for Spring and Summer. They give you the pop if you're dressed casual.

Thanks for sharing Miss Denise! (And I am following your blog now too). I agree, for Summer and Spring -- some nice pop. But I also think it could make winter more exciting. Drab weather doesn't only call for drab colors...it keeps my mood up when I'm wearing bright pieces!

I totally agree! Winter shouldn't be about dark/dull colors. It'd be fun and cute to wear colored jeans with some black boots! Or with a hot leather jacket!

Go bright, for sure! I like the idea of you starting off with a deep purple. Maybe then you can transition into other deep, yet bright colors, like that rich red or golden pair of pants you posted.

No on the bright bottoms, yes on "semi-bright" shoes...and by that I mean like maroon and navy...which aren't light at all haha!

The color doesn't scare me but I am short and thigh endowed. I tried the whole tigh leg jean/ legging in Europe (it was hot several years ago there) but I looked more like a character in Willy Wonka than the super trendy look I was going for..SIGH

Thanks for finding me Summer! Stephanie E just said that she found me through you ;) I need to update all of my stuff on entrecard for sure!

Tu Tu Bliss -- I love the Willy Wonka comparison! Some trends aren't for everyone, and I will learn that very soon as I seek a colored pant. Either it will make or break my style, and flatter or totally not flatter my body shape. We will see!

Leeann (Join the Gossip) - Those are safe colors, but it is nice that they are colors in a subtle way. They would be nice transformations for me...
