The Princess and the Frog

Tiana is here and she's fabulous! I am going to watch "The Princess and the Frog" (based on E.D. Baker's novel, "The Frog Princess") today with my mom, sister, and 3-year old niece. I can't wait! I'm not a big fan of animated movies. However, this is groundbreaking...the idea that a princess can come in all colors makes me happy. Diversity on the big screen is beautiful.

I can't wait to watch this with my four-year old too! Reviews are quite good and the book has always been a favorite. :)

I took my two little *boys* this weekend -- and we all enjoyed the film! The story has a twist on the typical "princess" fairy tale -- and the main character, Tiana, actually has professional passions beyond getting hitched. The setting of New Orleans worked, too -- and I'd definitely recommend it. Let us know what you think!

I LOVED it! My niece had a blast. I loved how goal-oriented Tiana was. She showed young ones that to get something, you must work at it! Great moral. She was a unique princess and it was just so fun to watch.
