Just like the rest of America, I used to turn into Friends (R.I.P.) for Phoebe's airhead moments, the off-and-on Rachel and Ross thingy, Chandler's sarcasm, Joey's acting debuts, and Monica's control issues.
And no matter the topic of the show, which was usually started in their coffee shop or in the living room, I knew I could always count on one thing: they were there for each other.
Luckily, as I sit here in my new apartment before work...tired from yesterday's moving day, I realize how fortunate I am to have an amazing group of new and old friends combined! Besides Steve and myself, there was "Dre," Chuck, Danny, Russ, and Jana (and 2-month old Logan in tow) who gave up their Sundays to move, drive, clean, and just be there for he and I.

It wasn't just everyone offering to help us move into our new place (the same complex that half of them live in!) that told me we were loved; it was them text messaging us early yesterday asking us when they can come over to help us get started! I never felt so fortunate. I know that Steve feels the same. Oh yeah, I even mentioned to Chuck that in the process of all of this, I probably won't be able to go grocery shopping until the weekend. Well, to my delight, his boyfriend Tobias came by later with a Trader Joe's gift card that will keep us fed for the week. So sweet.
So yes, this is my sappy post about friendship and how I have always wanted a group of guys and girls who I can, no doubt, trust and rely on. My wish has come true! And let me tell you: Amongst my busy writing, editing, and personal shopping game plans -- this helps keep me sane.
